About Our Founder
Louis A. Bedford, IV
Louis A. Bedford, IV is an accomplished lawyer, committed community leader, and passionate advocate for voting rights and civic engagement. Born and raised in Texas, he developed a deep appreciation for the importance of democracy and the role of public service in creating positive change.
After earning his undergraduate degree, Louis attended the University of Texas School of Law, where he excelled academically and developed a strong interest in civil rights and social justice. He quickly gained valuable experience through internships and legal clinics, and upon graduation, he set his sights on using his skills to make a difference in his community.
Louis began his career working with the Texas Civil Rights Project as part of the Election Protection Coalition, where he helped to facilitate a nonpartisan Election Protection hotline for voters. Through this work, he gained invaluable insights into the challenges facing voters and the importance of protecting their rights.
Today, Louis is an Attorney at Law with West & Associates LLP, a respected law firm with a focus on civil litigation, election law, and voting rights. He also serves as Legal Counsel for the Office of Texas State Senator Royce West, where he provides legal guidance and support on a wide range of issues.
In addition to his professional work, Louis is deeply involved in his community and is dedicated to promoting civic engagement and political participation. He is currently appointed to serve as a Clerk for Dallas County Elections Central Count Station, where he helps oversee the counting and processing of ballots during elections. He is sits of the advisory boards of multiple community organizations and has worked to establish a county-wide voter protection program in Dallas County.
Through his work, Louis has demonstrated a deep commitment to promoting voting rights and ensuring that every eligible voter has a voice in our democracy. He is a passionate advocate for social justice, and his dedication to public service has inspired countless others to get involved and make a difference in their communities.
